My Little Mischievous Walking Water Baby

Well my cheeky little red head has now been walking for almost a couple of months now (he started a couple of weeks after he turned one).  He is just so proud of himself every time he walks and always has a big grin on his face (usually accompanied by a drippy tongue poking out as well!).  Of course we now have our hands even more full, trying to keep him out of mischief as he now moves a lot quicker, can reach more things and also now climbs up onto things.  I found him standing up on top of his table the other day banging on the window and just having the best time (poor Mummy nearly had a heart attack)!

Our first photo of Jasper walking - yes it's a bit blurry but he is hard to catch these days!
As he is growing stronger we have also had to step the child proofing up a notch.  He soon worked out how to pull off the child proof locks off our kitchen cabinets so we have had to buy stronger ones.  He also somehow got the child proof lock off the bathroom drawer today and I found him happily playing with Murray's razor (yikes)!

Jasper just loves playing outside and would happily do so all day long.  One of his obsessions at the moment is playing with the tap and hose.  If we want to keep him entertained, we just turn on the tap a little bit and he is just mesmerised by it.

We have had a lot of rain lately and Jasper certainly didn't let the rain stop him from having fun.  He just loves playing outside in the rain in all the puddles.  Lucky for him, they are predicting record rain this Summer, so he will have plenty more opportunities to have fun in our poorly drained backyard : )

So it seems we have ourselves a little water baby!  Jasper was supposed to be an actual water baby as I originally had planned to have a water birth at the birth centre, but unfortunately due to Jasper being 17 days past his due date (maybe he was enjoying the swimming pool inside too much!), hospital policy didn't allow me to have the water birth.  In the end he was stuck in a bad position so I had to have a caesar so I wouldn't have been able to have the water birth anyway.  Even though he was a little late coming into the world, he is certainly making up for lost time now : )
